And The Debate Continues

February 28, 2007

I am going to steer clear of my opinion today (not enough time) but anyone looking to learn more about the potential tomb of man whose names rhymes with um…..Jesus should take a look at the following link–

Ugh

Did not like. At all.

10 Gallons More

February 27, 2007

Well the recent thermocouple replacement (See Below) did shit so it was a weekend of cold water hand washings and showers across the street. Which all leads me to spending $855 on a new water heater. The plus is that with 3 women/girls in the house the 10 extra gallons (We had a 40) will come in handy.

Again, the joys of home ownership.

“Wait. It’s a car that runs without gas! Get this outta here before Dick gets back.”

Happy 75th

February 27, 2007

Happy Birthday!

February 26th, 1932 J.R. Cash was born in Kingsland, Arkansas. Check out www.JohnnyCash.com for some great info and a fantastic store. This week I am looking to pick up a few nice items including a new belt buckle (God Bless rhinestones) and a nice baby gift for an expecting couple.

No better way to bring a baby into the world buy slapping a CASH onesie on their back.

Yes, Ann & Matt’s dog, Mr. B. won the 1st Oscar Pool on a tiebreaker (damn you Forrest for the traditional look!). His knowledge was very deep and uncanny at times and he was very consistent in getting 15 of 24 categories correct. The amount won for the top three are listed below and we will get this sent out right away (However, most of you still need to pay up so get that in when you can).

1st Place – $93.75
2nd Place – $25.00
3rd Place – $6.25

In addition, beside our first ever winner being a dog our first ever Ultimate Loser is John R. His score was 10 off the next lowest score and he got a total of 5 categories correct. John…your entry will be on us next year as this is as impressive as any dog winning.

I will try to post some more fun facts up here including highest category percentages, etc. over the next few days so check back if you can. Thanks again for doing this as we look forward to doing it again next year.

Again, this is unofficial as we have one more entry to count tomorrow but here are the final rankings along with the point totals (75 total points possible).

Yes, a dog living in Santa Monica has won our Oscar Pool. A very savvy LA dog that is beat me over a bow tie. Sweet irony.

I will have more detailed information on this tomorrow and welcome any comments. Hope everyone had some fun watching this tonight as well and please check back tomorrow for more info.

Almost everyone but 2 people had Helen Mirren so the scores are virtually the same with the same leaders. Losts of people within strinking distance though with less than 5 people really out of it.
