What is done, What is done
May 24, 2009
So day 1 of this lovely long weekend is near to the finale so lets see where the tally is today. I am going to list my accomplishments as I would in my own sick mind as I click down from one hundred trying to fall alseep -
- Made breakfast for all and especially for weefe
- Went to the park for a nice portion of time
- Ate at Rockets (Hey we don’t have In-N-Out so we do our best)
- Took the girls for ice cream
- Haircuts for the girls without fussiness or crying
- Got them a new Barbie that they sure as shit did not need
- Laid mulch down on the entire front lawn after 4 trips to Home Depot
- Girls got to run through sprinkler
- Picked up paint to start painting project tomorrow
- Picked up new hardware for master bath to complete that room
- Had a family movie night with The Tale of Despereaux (good but slightly above them but that is still ok)
So it was a full busy day all things considered and now my mind can rest.
Ok the rest is over and now I can think about what I did not do and what needs to be done tomorrow. Good night.
What to do, What to do
May 23, 2009
Ok so we are at the halfway point of Saturday and lets get a recap in regarding what is done -
- Park Time – God bless Phillips Park and its close proximity to us. We got in our first nice lengthy play time under perfect weather.
- Haircut for girls – Ding, Ding, Ding. That went pretty smooth and yes it did require a little Barbie Fairytopia Doll bribe. However, the dolls were on sales for $7 each so that seems like a pretty decent bribe on my end.
In addition, had the following good times -
- Johnny Rockets…..mmm…Rocket Burger
- Ice Cream with the family. Talk about a perfect summer thing to do.
- Made the weefe breakfast.
Well now off to Home Depot to attack the outdoor portion of my list during nap times.
What to do, What to do

A 3-day weekend?! Well that seems like a perfect time to get over ambitious with my time and then feel guilty for not getting everything done on my list so lets put that list down on ye ole blog so I can track my future shame with myself -
- Mow the lawn (seems easy)
- Weeding and finish one more side of beds (Seems kinda easy)
- Haircuts for the girls (seems easy but tricky pending bribery)
- Paint hall bathroom (seems easy)
- Find a church pew for sale that I like (seems easy)
- Buy said church pew and get it out to the Wego (we shall see)
- Park time with kids pending weather (easy)
- Write more than 4 blog entries (easy)
- Play a little rock band (seems easy)
- Find a book to read (Not easy)
- Get in the normal amount of work/work planning (of course this will get done)
- Watch Cubs (iffy at best)
- Watch 1 rented movie with wife and go see one movie (seems easy)
- Buy new razor (easy, more on that disaster later)
- Update DVR to record more shows I like (iffy at best)
Ok so 15 things seem like a good start so lets see what we can do..
Crap, I’m Tired
May 21, 2009
I am so fricking tired from the recent 3 weeks of non-stop travel. I am getting beyond old into the shit-old category. On that note and instead of actually writing let me tell you that you should rent Gran Torino this weekend. Trust me, I watched it 3 times on a recent flight and loved it each time.
