June 30, 2009

My wife has been looking for the right decoration for our entryway and this might do the trick.

7,788 Miles To Get It

June 23, 2009

IMG_0633

It is quite a nice shirt but I am guessing I can get one to my liking a little closer that 7,788 miles / 12,533 kilometers /6,767 nautical miles.  Just a guess but I think the gift shop at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport might be considered out of the way.

Creepy Day

June 20, 2009

It gets a little creepy out here weather wise at times, such as last night, but overall I love our area.  I like being out in the open more than ever.  This photo was taken on June 1 and no enhancements or changes were made to it all.  Pretty creep and pretty impressive I think.

Rainy Day Not Needed

June 13, 2009

I really did not need rain today.  Although it is nice for the lawn this seriously constricts my plans with the kids on this solo style weekend.  Ugh.

Hmmm...Who's Hand Is That?

Hmmm...Who's Hand Is That?

No, not really as this one is worth two words …. Fuck You.  500 cartons of shit, gone forever.  You stupid fucking idiots that keep everything with no concept of cost or worth.  Let me explain it – Cost — How much you pay for the shit – Worth — How much you can get out of it.  After 10 years of getting nothing out of it you thumbsuckers you can safely say it has no worth.

Oh wait that is not exactly true.  It is worth and big FUCK YOU and SMILE on 2 particular faces.

Axis of Crapola

June 8, 2009

On the topic of shitty bands let me throw out my axis of crapola.  Anytime I hear any of these bands I want to stab myself in the ear with a dull letter opener -

  • Blink 182 – The true definition of douchebags.
  • Greenday – Nice eyeliner.
  • The Offspring – Oh yeah your very counter-culture.
  • The Fray
  • Stone Temple Pilots
  • Jane’s Addiction

Enough said.

Top 10….Books

June 6, 2009

So if you got stuck on an island what would be your Top 10…..Books.  That’s right books.  Music is a little easier but think about what books would you be willing to read to Wilson for a few years in a row.  With that in mind here are my own in no set order -

  • Martin Eden – Jack London
  • Moby Dick – Herman Melville
  • Adventures of Kavilier & Clay – Michael Chabon
  • True North – Jim Harrison
  • Dune – Frank Herbert
  • Galilee – Clive Barker
  • A Separate Peace – John Knowles
  • Interview With The Vampire – Ann Rice
  • Fortress of Solitude – Jonathan Lethem
  • Night Watch – Sergei Lukyanenko
  • The Master And Margarita – Mikhail Bulgakov

Keep in mind that this might be a slightly different list if I was asked to list my Top 10 books of all time as the above all have great value beyond the initial read so they would be a perfect compliment in my travels further down the road of insanity.

And you?  I am hoping I can get one good suggesstion out of this as I am dying on the book vine currently.
