A Weekend I Can Even Be Pleased With

My life is really broken down into 2 simple categories – Did I waste the day or not? That is how my mind works and therefore I have to stay active and on the go 24 hours every day. I have to have ACCOMPLISHMENTS every day or I might begin to melt or get hair on my palms (I might be getting my Catholic guilt trips mixed up, sorry). The accomplishments can include the mundane and simple as long as it advances the cause of progress in any way. I used to be able to sit in front of a TV and watch football for hours or play video games for hours but now my guilt creeps up slowly until I am firmly being smothered by a Slanket of guilt.

This ties into my previous weekend which can be summed up by saying even I was pleased with my work.  From lawn work to painting to switching kids rooms it was jammed pack.  I also was able to have a ton of time with the minions and the head doomsayer as well.

Getting Closer

I am getting closer to the land of the living. Getting 4-5 hours a sleep a night and it looks like we will “normalize” this weekend a bit. I am really looking forward to getting back to the mundane things in life and then going into bunker mode this winter. So many small, yet time consuming projects that I need to get to.

A Month Of Music

I know I am missing some things but September is shaping up to me my music/media month indeed –

+ Wolverine Blu-Ray

Add a few games out there and this is shaping up to be a nice month and that does not touch on the books but more on that later.

Quite Tired

The 3am alarm went off but no results. Ho hum. Better luck tomorrow.

Who Knew?

Who knew that throwing a double birthday party for 75+ guests and 35+ kids would be this crazy and tough? Wait. I knew because I have done it three years in a row. Next year, movie party for everyone!

NO FUCKING AC

Pardon the curse in the title but the AC broke and no repairman until tomorrow. For me…ugh, for my 8 month pregnant wife….major ugh.
