Reminders Of Age

I rarely think of my age as I could care less if I was 21 or 36 (as I am now).  I enjoy my life in the moment for the most part and each day, week and year seem to be better than the last in my humble opinion.

Occasionally I do get simple reminders that not only am I old but times do sometimes change.

Today as I was waiting to check into my hotel the music from the lobby was the classic Duran Duran song Girls On Film.  For those of you who do not remember this it was about as risque as you could be for the time period (1981 release).  I remember vividly hoping to catch the uncensored version (Probably circa 1983-84 for me) of the video on some late night program and hoping the rest of the family would be well asleep as it was about as close to what I thought porn was at that time.

And now it is hotel lobby music.  I would not have bet on that one.  Enjoy.

Awesome. It was total soft core back in the day, for sure. Although at the time I was a metalhead and not at all into pussy new wavers like Duran Duran.

I was a metalhead as well but at the tender age of 6-8 my metal tendencies had not yet been found. And to me Duran Duran was able to appeal to such a wide range as they truly defined the MTV (When it was good) age as I still remember all the old videos and I think I am going to go watch Wild Boys right now.
