SAG Awards

Screen Actors Guild Award

While the Golden Globes rarely predict anything related to the Academy Awards the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) Awards offer a little better foresight and often mirror the nominees and sometimes the winners.  The SAG awards were handed out on January 29th so they also fall in line with the Oscar’s as well.  Here is a list of the winners for your benefit –

  • Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture – The Help
  • Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role – Jean Dujardin (The Artist)
  • Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Leading Role – Viola Davis (The Help)
  • Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Supporting Role – Christopher Plummer (Beginners)
  • Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role – Octavia Spencer (The Help)

So there you go…maybe it helps maybe it does not.  Either way have fun and get in those ballots.
